World Class Attractions to See During Grenada Holidays

Sauteurs
A cliff of prominence and pride for historical reasons, this is the place where Carib families died in the 1600’s as they jumped over the cliff rather than submit to the French. A historical fish market as well as some quaint shops pay homage to the area. The point provides breath-taking views. Carib’s Leap is only part of the town of Sauteurs.
Carriacou
A small island well worth a day trip, this island is about 27 km away from Grenada and is easily reachable by boat and small commuter planes. The charming town of Hillsborough is quaint to stroll through, while the surrounding rolling hills provide interesting cacti and other exotic vegetation. National Parks
Grenada has been bestowed some wonderful lush wildlife and vegetation, which is on display through the island’s network of national parks. The Grand Etang National Park offers beautiful views and hiking trails for active travellers. Visible within the park is a crater formed by the Grand Etang Lake, another top tourist attraction. Lavera National Park offers a prime attractions: Lavera Pond – a water filled archaic volcanic crater, mangroves, views of Sugar Loaf Island and a natural offshore reef great or diving. Tourists interested in local habitats will find a Bird-Watch bridge and sanctuary within the confines of the park.
St. George
St. George and the surrounding area is the capital city of the island and features brick and stone buildings with red tiled roofs. Buy world renowned local spices and crafts here and explore Fort George and the inner harbour area, the Carenage, the site of local eateries and bars.
