One of the most popular holiday trends of the recent times has been a holiday which is now called ‘glamping’, a term to describe glamorous camping. This is very much on the rise at the moment as it attracts campers who are looking for something a little different from the usual tent pitch, and it is also attracting previous hotel goers who are now looking for a fresh and exciting holiday which does not involve staying in a mainstream hotel or B&B.
There are numerous glamping sites all across Europe, and the accommodation includes teepees, yurts, bell tents, gypsy wagons, safari tents, geometric domes and other unusual accommodation types. The dwellings are often fitted with luxurious bedding, rugs, sofas and other items, which is what makes the big difference from ordinary camping, where people often sleep on the floor, a camp bed, or a rollout mattress.
These holidays are meant to give people the experience of being more in tune with nature, staying in a relaxing, rural setting, whilst also providing an interesting and comfortable dwelling.
